6th day hunter 5th February 2011

6th DAY HUNTER ! ( 5th February 2011)
Location: Sungei Buloh Wetland Nature Reserve

Alright here's the second episode of 6th day hunter. This time we move from the urban call of the city to the wondrous nature Singapore has to offer. Our stop? Sungei buloh wetlands:) founded in 1989 ( same year i was born) by a bunch of conservationist. Its just a few mins bus ride to from kranji Mrt , then a 20 mins walk into the mash lands.

This is how it'll look like at the entrance
Kranji reservoir just before my busstop

Today we even have a special guest joining us through this tour. We met on our way to the place, its quite awesome how this little project lets me meet new people. Anyway his name is Geog, an exchange student from Austria and loves traveling ( you'll see him in the video ) haha
Alright , first impression of the place is its beautiful , the place is so well preserve its hard to imagine that Singpaore has something so natural store up her sleeves.

The place is pretty big , a good 2 hours of your time can be taken up walking and site seeing. The view i admit is quite beautiful ... there's almost this peace you feel when you enter the place. Along with the scenery , there are some pretty cool animals you'll get to see to ... Like up close. Some of my wildlife encounters were like giant lizards , giant spiders and jumping fishes haha all very interesting when you realize they all are in arms length and there is nothing stop them from getting you ( they said they have crocodiles roaming around, I'm just glad to not see one) haha.

Anw i would recommend people to come over to check it out , its a perfect place to move away from things especially the urban life , to settle your thoughts cos the whole scene is just calming. Now i'll leave you with some pictures of the place :) sometimes words just cant quite say it.

6th day hunter 29th january 2011

6th DAY HUNTER ! ( 29th January 2011)
Location: PHO HOUSE , Suntec City

Welcome to the first episode of "6th Day Hunter" a causal show made for Singaporeans by a Singaporean. And to solve the ever big problem we all seems to suffer on this little red dot on the map , " WHERE TO GO?!" So i hope you enjoy these series of shows. Abit about 6th day hunter, its a somewhat documentary of the many places in Singapore , every Saturday if possible i'll travel to a new place with a few friends ( Look for my comment to join in) and give a review about it:)

So today's Journey takes us to "Pho house" restaurant in Suntec city , where they are well known for serving PHO ( Vietnamese Beef noodles). I had eaten many different types of PHO before and so far the one i tasted back in Australia was the best. But still i was curious how this PHO ( Singapore Edition) would hold up to their counterpart in Australia.

I have to say i was pleasantly surprised with the dish. It wasn't as good as the as the past dishes i had but considering the fact that its available in Singapore , its good enough. It still holds the salty beef base soup taste which almost matched the original dish back in Vietnam so i was impressed( its difficult replicate the flavor ). The Meal comes in a package of vegetable rolls , the main dish and a choice of drinks for $13. Not bad eh?! Quite affordable :) i strongly recommend this place to anyone who is willing to try something new and is of course HUNGRY!

Watch out for the next episode! we are going to the mangroves swamps of Singapore! at Sungei Buloh natural park! join me if you can!
